Priest Ranch is a historic Napa Valley property established in 1869 by James Joshua Priest, a Gold Rush prospector. In 2004 we combined the historic Priest Ranch (660 acres) and Elder Valley (995 acres) properties to create the Somerston Estate. Today the 1,615 acre estate has 215 acres of producing vineyards from 15 distinct areas with a a total of 180 different blocks. We combine fruit from multiple blocks to bring you these wines that express the diversity of our estate.
Double Barrel is a 50/50 blend that changes with each vintage. Our winemaking team chooses two varieties that they believe will compliment each other to create a blend that never disappoints. To date, no two vintages have been the same.
The newly release 2016 Sauvignon Blanc is here! At Priest Ranch we are thrilled to have released the new vintage and want all of our fans to try. Perfect for any occasion, especially for a relaxed night in at home.
This is an aromatic white wine with bright aromas of white peach, melons, and honeysuckle. The palate is sharp with good acidity, minerality, bright stone fruits and a touch of tannins.
2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is here! We agree with Robert Parker, full-bodied wine with flavors of dark berries of blackcurrants, plum. -91 PTS, Robert Parker | Wine Advocate #227
The 2013 vintage had been aged in neutral and new French Oak.
Coach Gun is our flagship wine and has proved to be a favorite among our members and fans. The 2013 vintage of this wine is no exception and as Robert Parker stated, "2013 may turn out to be the finest vintage I have experienced in tasting North Coast varietals over the last 37 years. It's a game-changer in terms of the consistency of quality, the depth of quality, and the across-the-board excellence for so many wines."
This wine tastes like a vintage Port! The aromas are elevated and full of bright red fruit with a rich dark color. The palate is full of sweet cherries and plums, and balanced with sweetness and acidity.
