It’s hard to believe, but with all its rich history and international fame, there are still pockets of Napa Valley that are largely unexplored. These are the rugged mountains, hillsides and valleys in the eastern perimeter of the county that have flown under the radar thanks to their remoteness and the challenging terrain. Our Priest Ranch wines come from one of those guarded pockets: the historic Somerston Estate in the Elder Valley eight miles east of Rutherford.

Our Priest Ranch winery takes its moniker from the historical name attached to the property. We produce single-vineyard and block-designate wines from select blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Zinfandel on the Somerston property. Our production is small and our distribution is selective. Our wines display flavors, textures and aromatics unique to this isolated and rustic site.

Welcome to Priest Ranch.

Ronn Wiegand- Master of Wine & Master Sommelier and publisher of Restaurant Wine magazine just gave us a rave review.
2006 Priest Ranch Petite Sirah 4 1/2 stars out of 5A full bodied, slightly oaky wine, with supple texture, good depth of flavor, and a long finish, tasting of blueberry jam, toast, cedar, black licorice, and spicy oak. Long finish.
