2021 Priest Ranch Rosé

WINEMAKING
The Priest Ranch Rosé begins with a whole cluster press of Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. We harvest the grapes exclusively for this wine to achieve the perfect level of alcohol; acidity is high and color. Then the wine was aged for seven months in 50% neutral French oak and 50% stainless steel tanks.

HARVEST NOTES

The 2021 season started with very little rain in the Napa Valley, resulting in smaller berry sizes and yields per vine. At Somerston Estate, we dropped fruit during the growing season to allow the vines to put their energy into producing a limited amount of quality fruit. One of our smallest producing vintages, the 2021 wines are full of flavor, and the reds offer incredible intensity.

Tasting Notes

The 2021Rosé of Pinot Noir has bright and refreshing aromas of white peach, fresh strawberries, and cherry blossoms. These aromas continue onto the palate with subtle hints of nectarine and ripe apricots, finishing brilliantly with a lingering minerality.
