With an estate high in the eastern hills of Napa Valley, red wines dominate the Priest Ranch profile. Our winemaker, Craig Becker, draws on our rich, diverse vineyard site that features a variety of elevations, exposures, soils, and microclimates. He takes a minimalist approach to winemaking, encouraging the highest expression of personality, intensity, and distinction in each varietal we produce.
Our vineyards at Somerston Estate are predominately planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, but we have blocks of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Syrah for blending and to bring you adventurous wines of uncommon quality.
