Meet the Makers of Our Award-Winning Wines

February 2024

At Priest Ranch, we pride ourselves on our ability to give you an uncommon adventure from the experiences offered in our tasting room to our portfolio of wines, and we have these three masters of their craft to thank. Meet our Co-Founder and Director of Viticulture & Winemaking, Craig Becker, Winemaker Cody Hurd, and Director of Vineyard Operations, Jake Knobloch, who are the powerhouse that gives our wines the quality that you’ve come to know and love, and the critics agree—we’re thrilled that four of our wines received outstanding awards at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition!

A new year is always exciting—a fresh start, an opportunity to try new things, or a chance to become reacquainted with yourself, your friends, or your favorite Priest Ranch team members! To start our Meet the Team series, we’re kicking it off with one of our longest-tenured hospitality and sales team members, our Direct to Consumer Sales Manager, Alejandro “Alex” Gomez! He’s the leader of our hospitality and sales team and has grown immensely through his time with Priest Ranch, from hosting in the tasting room to running logistics and fulfillment—Alex is a tremendous asset to our team. Let’s learn a little bit more about him!

Dormancy in the Vineyards: Reserves, Restraint, and Rejuvenation
