Meet the Team - Cory DeLoach
It’s time for part two of our “Meet the Priest Ranch Team” series, and we’re excited to introduce you to our Tasting Room Manager, Cory DeLoach! Cory is an integral member of the Priest Ranch as the leader of our hospitality team; he inspires and educates our team with interesting monthly comparative tastings because an educated team is a strong team. Let’s learn a little bit more about Cory!

What is your favorite Priest Ranch wine?

What is your favorite Priest Ranch memory?My favorite memory is from my first-ever visit to the property. About two weeks after I began, I had the opportunity to explore the property with our vineyard manager and winemaker. It made me realize how lucky I was to be able to work for such an amazing company and have the chance to sell some incredible wine.
What is your favorite Priest Ranch experience to host?The Artisan Experience. I worked hard to create this experience to offer another educational food component to our selection of tastings. There’s no denying that our Bacon and Wine Experience is one of the most popular, but bringing in high-quality cheeses and accouterments to pair with our wines was an essential challenge for me. We’re dedicated to uncommon adventures, so seasonal updates to this lineup and breaking the cycle of your typical wine and cheese pairings are paramount to the success of this experience. So, sharing my labor of love is my favorite experience to host for our guests.
What is your favorite non-Priest Ranch experience?
Frogs Leap Winery! Other than Priest Ranch, it might be one of the best tasting rooms in Napa.
What is your favorite activity to do during your time off?
My husband and I love to travel, but our favorite are cruise vacations! We spent our honeymoon backpacking through Europe and Asia and have become avid cruisers since then.
What do you like most about Priest Ranch?
The wine! Truly some of the best in the valley! And that’s not just my house palate talking; I spend a lot of time visiting tasting rooms all over Napa and Sonoma and I'm always drawn back to our wines because of the incredible complexity and refinement created by Craig and Cody in the cellar and by Jake and his team in the vineyards.
Freestyle! What do you want to share about yourself/your family?
I moved here in 2021 with my husband from Salt Lake City. I had spent the previous five years as a sommelier and beverage director. When I am not out tasting wine or checking out some of the amazing restaurants in the area, my husband and I love to spend time with our cat and two dogs.
